Amazon Visit

This week staff from Amazon came to visit pupils at The Oaks school. As well as staff from Amazon, their mascot ‘Peccy’ was a firm hit with the pupils. The staff presented to all pupils where they gave an overview of what  the different strands to the business are, as well going into more detail about the local distribution centre at Durham. Sarah, who works at the centre, who has additional needs, gave a moving account of how she finds working there. It was a great event; pupils had the opportunity to ask questions and were commended by the Amazon staff for their mature and probing responses.
