Some of our pupils who study Art & Design have had the opportunity to visit Edinburgh this week. We travelled by train, a journey that our pupils thoroughly enjoyed. We went to the Scottish National Art Gallery and Scottish National Museum and pupils were able to take photographs and make sketches whilst there that can be added to their portfolio of G.C.S.E. art work. In addition to this we were able to stroll through the Grassmarket area, take in the local sights and do a spot of shopping too. A big ‘thank you’ to Mr Wood for all of his hard work in organising such a succesful art trip and to our pupils for making it such a great day out. We are looking forward to going there again next year!!
During enrichment activities students designed superhero eggs and a Gotham city inspired set. Well done Craft Club!
The 3D model makers have had an egg-cellent afternoon, designing a container in which to protect an egg. A good effort was made by all, although some designs didn’t work out quite as egg-spected!
Well done to this months competition winners.

We had an unexpected treat on Tuesday when staff from the Co op funeral service came to school. They brought us lots of Easter eggs for a sweet treat before we break up for the holidays. Thanks to Richard and Barbara for thinking of us. Here they are pictured with 7S.
