In order to support their work on description, 7V spent some time in the outdoor classroom. They explored the trees and leaves, using their 5 senses to think of a range of adjectives.

They developed this further by completing some rubbings of tree bark, wood and other interesting textures. They collected leaves and twigs to look at how the textures and colours change as they dry out.

The next step is to create a tree display using their rubbings. The students will then describe it using the different adjectives they thought of.
