This week we have visited Canada as part of our work on the Commonwealth. We started off the week looking at totem poles, we then made some of our own. We also went into the outdoor classroom with Mrs Roddam, she showed us how to make a camp fire. We had a tasty treat by eating some s’mores and pancakes with maple syrup. The pupils have also painted red and white patterns to make Canadian windsocks. These are hung outside to Celebrate Canada day which is on July 1st! We have finished the week by baking butter tarts which are a favourite treat of the Canadians. Next week we are going to visit Cyprus.
