This week the pupils in 11W began their journey around some of the countries of the Commonwealth.  We began with Australia.  They have tasted marmite on toast.  Some of the pupils loved the marmite and some gave it a thumbs down!  We have also made and eaten a traditional Australian snack called Fairy bread.  They have also painted aboriginal artwork and made boomerangs.   We finished off the week by making yo-yo biscuits. These are a biscuit baked and eaten in Australia!   These were made with custard powder and filled with pink icing and hundreds and thousands.  Next week we are off to visit India!
