Within Science, pupils in 10S have been working hard within their ‘Sorting out’ topic to understand how to separate mixtures. Pupils were presented with a range of mixtures ( including various states of matter). We then worked in groups to decide on the best method of separating each and then attempting to do so. We used lots of scientific terminology and proved we could use the various methods of separation including decanting, evaporation, magnetism, sieving, hand sorting and even chromatography. Many of us made perfect predictions! Here we are testing them out.
