Heugh Battery Visit


As part of their year 11 studies students visited the Heugh Battery in Hartlepool. They learned all about the attack by German dreadnoughts and about what life was like in the trenches during WWI. Students also took part in handling weapons from the First World War. The staff at the museum commented on the excellent behaviour and attitude of the students.

Valentine’s day specials

The ‘Bead Club’ have been busy creating pink earrings today in preparation for Valentines Day. They are selling these for £1 per pair. We still have some left too….so for all those gentlemen who have forgotten to buy a gift for that ‘special someone’ visit the art room next week to buy a pair while you can!


Auckland walk

Year 10 pupils have just got back from another countryside walk. We walked just over 4 miles again today.


February art competition

The theme for this months art competition is ‘animals’. Entries are already coming in thick and fast!!! Please give your art work to Miss Fink by 15th February. Prizes are awarded to each house group.

Artist of the week

Our ‘artist of the week’ is Liam from 8H. He has produced an excellent sketch of a celebrity for his pop art project. Well done Liam!!!


Nail bar & jewellery activity- today’s activities

The girls have had a great time today..manicures, painting nails and making earrings….heaven!


Lunch time clubs

We have lots if activities on offer for everybody at lunchtime. Choose from activities such as rock club, accelerated reading, ICT club, library time or quiet time. Please see the notice board in reception to find out what’s on each day!
