Well done everyone!

After our two fun filled days of fundraising, I’m delighted to tell you that we have raised over £900, which will be shared between Comic Relief and Unicef. Thank you to all of our pupils and staff for planning such fabulous activities and to parents for supporting us with donations. An article has been printed in The Northern Echo today.

Staff Detention for Comic Relief

Members of Staff completed their detentions without any fuss during break time .

International Feltmaker’s Magazine Article

Our textiles teacher Mrs Priest was asked to write an article for an International Feltmaker’s Magazine about the felt making that we do at The Oaks. The article was published in the March 2013 edition and displays the felt hats made after studying Mongolian felt making techniques and tribal hats by 9W pupils; Laura, Howard, and Jordan. Well done, these hats will now be viewed all over the world!

Learning about Easter

Our pupils are learning about the true meaning of Easter. They made the sign of the cross from lolly sticks.

Many of our pupils have never read from a Bible. I am very proud of those who can find a given passage reference and read from one of the Gospels – well done!
