On Friday 8th of March, staff from Firstlight and Filmclub visited us with Make-up artist, Laura Tallentire. Laura showed our pupils how gruesome make-up is done. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and asked Laura many questions about her role in the T.V and Film industry and the ‘Celebs’ she has met.
Laura has many credits to her C.V, one of which is ‘the bingo heads’ on 365 Bingo which currently sponser Emmerdale.
Hope you don’t get too scared by the photos!

Our textiles teacher Mrs Priest was asked to write an article for an International Feltmaker’s Magazine about the felt making that we do at The Oaks. The article was published in the March 2013 edition and displays the felt hats made after studying Mongolian felt making techniques and tribal hats by 9W pupils; Laura, Howard, and Jordan. Well done, these hats will now be viewed all over the world!
