7D have started some topic work on animals this term. In art, they have been looking at the different shapes that can be used to make a picture of an animal using different materials. Thomas used a wax material which he had to bend into the different shapes to make a cat and Christopher used super clay which he rolled into spheres and ovals and he cut out triangles. We also had pupils using paint to paint shapes on paper.
7D are very good with shapes.
Thomas has decorated his with bright colours.

Every month pupils will be introduced to a new or familiar piece of art work during their art lessons. They will spend one lesson looking at, discussing and being inspired by an individual painting. In April pupils will study ‘The Mona Lisa’ painting by Leonaro Da Vinci. To find out more about her in preparation for your lesson please visit the following website:
During enrichment activities students designed superhero eggs and a Gotham city inspired set. Well done Craft Club!
The 3D model makers have had an egg-cellent afternoon, designing a container in which to protect an egg. A good effort was made by all, although some designs didn’t work out quite as egg-spected!
Well done to this months competition winners.
