Filmclub helping Literacy

Reece one, of our pupils who is taking part in Filmclub Talent Development, went down to London in the February 1/2 term holidays. He spent the day at the Filmclub Head Office, where he meet up with other Filmclubbers, where he was given extra training into how to improve his review techniques.

Read his review of Frankenweenie;

Frankenweenie4 out of 5By
Reece, 15
This movie was enjoyable. I found this film to be classic the characters were likable. The Animation is Tim Burton Animation. He’s artwork is so original you can tell a lot of effort went in this film the visuals are fantastic. I like the fact that it’s not just a parody to Frankenstein but lots good films like gremlins, Dracula so I’m giving this film four stars out of five for great animation and a well put together cast. By the way What ever did happen to that invisible fish?

Planet Ocean

Tomorrow Filmclub is taking part in a Live Mass Premiere Planet Ocean

Rating: E
Duration: 90 mins
Year: 2012

Combining astonishing aerial shots and underwater imagery, Planet Ocean takes us on an unprecedented journey into the heart of one of the least known regions, on our planet, the oceans. Directors Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot travelled the globe with the intention of making a film that changes the way people look at the oceans and explains one of the Earth’s great natural mysteries.

They also want the film to help young people believe in a better and more sustainable tomorrow.
