ENRICHMENT

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

What we offer

On Friday afternoons all pupils participate in Enrichment Activities. This is an opportunity for all pupils to develop newly acquired skills which are not always available with the National Curriculum.

All activities are accredited to AQA Single Unit Awards. Pupils are given the opportunity to choose a new activity each term.  This term there are twenty-six clubs on offer!

Activities also provide students with opportunities to continue to develop their independent and social skills.   Activity groups include Drama Club, Military History, Rock Climbing, Mixed Sports, Chess Club, UpCycling, Gardening, Dungeons and Dragons and Hair and Beauty to name but a few.

We also welcome a nationally recognised dance group called Tin Arts.

Year 11 students work towards Preparation for Adulthood and a programme has been designed to prepare pupils for Post16 education. Teachers support Year 11 pupils with Careers advice, Uniformed Services accreditation, Independent Travel, Work Experience opportunities in addition to building Independent Living Skills.
