Christmas festivities get into full swing at The Oaks from tomorrow…. It’s going to be a busy, fun filled week! Ks3 party on Tuesday afternoon, ks4 party Wednesday afternoon, end of term reward trips take place on Thursday and Christmas lunch in Friday….phew!!! Might even be able to squeeze a bit of carol singing in too! Don’t forget we have our very own post box (located in reception) for any last minute cards to be delivered in school.
Unfortunately Rose, one of our three hens, was stolen last week. Everyone was very upset to lose a much loved school pet. Poppy and Petunia continue to lay eggs though and the project will continue.
Another productive day in Bead Club! Pupils have been very busy making clasp bracelets today. We made £6.50 from trolley sales too. We still have lots of lovely jewellery left …these would make excellent stocking fillers for Christmas 🙂 See Miss Fink if you would like to look at our jewellery products.
This week our staff and pupils will be very busy making things to sell at our annual Enterprise Fayre. All are welcome to attend the fair on Friday 16th Novemeber at 1:30pm. Our school was recently visited by the Store Van Music company. With their help every pupil in the school participated in composing a new piece of music. You can watch the video of what they created on the home page of our website.

As part of Macmillan’s ‘Big Coffee Morning’ event, staff at The Oaks went head to head in a cake making ‘bake off’. Mr Davis judged the competition, he will have to work the calories off in the gym later!
Pupils were able to buy a slice from the cake of their choice afterwards as well as participate in our organised non-uniform day. Many of our pupils and staff wore green to show their support for the Macmillan charity.
