The bag making group have been busy making bags, cushions and designing t-shirts.
Students enjoying their orienteering walking through Spennymoor and the local area. Students plan out the walk they would like to do and then use maps to plan their route.

The girls in our Friday afternoon jewellery club have raised £7 for ‘breast cancer awareness’ today. They sold pink earrings and pink felt brooches.
We still have lots left too, so if you would like any please let us know. The jewellery trolley does the rounds every Friday afternoon.

The girls in ‘jewellery making’ have made some hair bobbles today.
As part of their year 11 studies students visited the Heugh Battery in Hartlepool. They learned all about the attack by German dreadnoughts and about what life was like in the trenches during WWI. Students also took part in handling weapons from the First World War. The staff at the museum commented on the excellent behaviour and attitude of the students.
The ‘Bead Club’ have been busy creating pink earrings today in preparation for Valentines Day. They are selling these for £1 per pair. We still have some left too….so for all those gentlemen who have forgotten to buy a gift for that ‘special someone’ visit the art room next week to buy a pair while you can!
