The theme for the school’s art competition this month is ‘Easter’. All entries should be handed into Miss Fink as soon as possible. We had a great response to the competition last month!!
Staff at the Oaks have been raising money for comic relief by having a cake bake all this week. Here are some of the cakes that have been on sale at school today.

After the success of our fruit tasting session last week, 7T now made their Fruit Salads. Using the variety of fruits they tasted last week (minus the ginger of course).
A group of year 10 and 11 students travelled a total of 200 miles in one day in order to visit Boxford Ltd at a factory near Huddersfield. We saw some amazing equipment that produces machines like ours in the workshop. All the staff were extremely friendly and stopped to explain how things were manufactured and finished. Many thanks to Howard and Steve who took us around the building and looked after us. They answered hundreds of questions but we forgot one. Can we come again?
Congratulations to Nathan 9F, Ami 9F, Scott 9F and Lydia 8C who have all represented their house groups by entering and winning a prize for their fabulous art work. Well done!!!!
Today the Communication Group visited McDonalds and ordered their own drink and fries. We had great fun and can now order independently.
Miss Fink is training to be an Arts Award Advisor today. This will mean that our pupils can gain recognition for their hard work in any area of the arts. This will be introduced to pupils very soon!!!
