This week in myths and legends we have been learning folklore around the fairy folk. We created some fairy doors to welcome them into our homes…or to make sure the naughty ones leave!
7H absolutely loved making shortbreads yesterday, smiles all round for our Macmillan Coffee Morning!
11W have worked hard to bake cakes to raise money in aid of MacMillan Cancer research. We decorated them with green icing. We also made some green and purple bunting that we used to decorate our classroom. We enjoyed eating our cakes at our coffee morning.
Year 9 Friday afternoon outdoor activities group have been busy foraging around the school. As you can see they were very successful and found apples, blackberries and some rhubarb ( sixth form might have helped us with that one) . Next challenge, create some delicious recipes with our produce .
As part of our journeys topic, 8L went for a journey up onto the top field to pick blackberries.
We used them to make a blackberry and apple crumble.
We all enjoyed feeling, tasting and smelling the ingredients and the final crumble which was delicious. We even asked for more!
8L were looking for different textures, sounds and smells in the sensory garden.
8L enjoyed exploring foam
