9C Chemical Reactions

We have been continuing our learning about chemical reactions, in science. Today we looked at how you can mix different substances to make something that has different properties; we mixed PVA glue with water and borax to form slime.

We discussed safety and then watched a short video on how to carry out the experiment. We then recalled the different steps and followed the instructions…

We then examined a non-Newtonian state called goop, a mixture of water and cornflour…

The goop will flow, like a liquid, but when squeezed or hit, acts like a solid.

Until next time.
